Follow up

November 1:

As we landed in Tokyo on november 1:st, Momo and Hiro met us at the airport with some beers and big smiles. In the Crispy Bus we went to Tokyo city and checked in at the hotel. After washing up, they took us to a nice japanese restaurant. Ricky from Extinct Government and his wife Seiko also came by. There we got some iced beers and a lot of food. We were sitting there for a couple of hours eating and drinking and having fun!
In the beginning it was quite hard to eat with the chopsticks, but we managed to learn after a while. Dish after dish with delicious food came to the table. Micke, Bonni and Gizmo tried blowfish the first thing they did! And Dadde and Ernie who had dreaded that it would be difficult to get vegetarian food had worried for nothing! The veggie food was amazing! After the restaurant we went to a bar so we could buy our new japanese friends a beer and stayed there for a few hours more - drinking and talking. After a really good evening we were quite tired and finally went to the hotel. After we discovered that there where kimonos in the rooms we decided to try them on and pay Gizmo a visit :)
November 2:

The next day we where taken to Earth Dom, the club where we were gonna play the same evening. Quite small place but to the looks, a classic rock club. In the dressingroom there where a lot of food and drinks and nice people!
The gig went very well. Almost sold out and a lot of happy fans singing the songs, dancing and having fun! Afterwards there where a lot of photos taken and autographs and we meet alot of happy punks. Some even from Columbia!

November 3

Heading for Nagoya and Huck Finn. A great place (all the Japanese clubs were great!). We soundchecked and ate some food. In the bar above the club we discovered a painting of Asta Kask! Our friend Fumi made it as a surprise for us. But it wasn´t a painting - she had made it out of small pieces of colored japanes paper glued to a image. Fantastic! We were very happy and proud! Thank you Fumi! We also got a BIG bottle of saké of another friend - thank you! Well...as a matter of fact we got so many presents everywhere and thank you all!

The gig went very well and the audience was great! Hazard and Extinct Government among others put up really good shows to! Really intense hardcore punk, as with most of the bands we played with in Japan. After the gig we went to a restaurant where we got so much fantastic food and cold beers. We was sitting there for many hours just eating, drinking and cheering with our friends. A great party!

November 4

In the morning we were packing our stuff and heading to Osaka. The weather was great and soon we came to Osaka and King Cobra. Located on the second floor it seemed like a nice place. We made a soundcheck and then got some good food! The club then kindly borrowed us their computer so we could get some internet access and update our blog for the first and last time during the tour. The blog idea didn't really work out the way we had planned! We were busy haveing a good time! The gig was fantastic (according to Ernie) and great (according to the others). Amazing sound and for the song "Det vill jag va" we even got a guest singer, Hanna from Angered, Sweden! We hung out with her and her friend Aiko, who spoke perfect swedish(or even kalmar dialect!) after just 2 years in Sweden! The place was crowded with people going crazy. Warhead, ORGANiSM and more played cool sets to. Everybody seemed very happy! After the gig a mountain of pizza was carried in to the club. Mmmm!

November 5

Hiroshima here we come! We entered the club Cave Be and unpack our stuff for a soundcheck. Ernie then discovered that a bolt and a spring from the bridge on the bass was missing! Not good. Fortunatly we where surrounded by many friends. Two of them got Ernie in a car and drove throug Hiroshima, hunting for spare parts for the bass in different music shops. Sadly there where not any parts to get. Back in the club, Hiro of Crispy Nuts solved the problem by lending Ernie parts from his own bass. Hiro my hero! A bit late for the soundcheck and then Extinct Goverment, Crispy Nuts and finally Asta Kask entered the stage. Crowded with fantastic people helped us make this a great gig!

On the party afterwards we had so much fun - drinking big buckets of beer, trying different kinds of saké and having a lot of fun! We all begin getting a bit sad because this fantastic journey soon would be over.

November 6

After breakfast we made some shopping and then we where guided to Hiroshima peace memorial park and the A-Bomb Dome, located directly under the centre of the explosion and the last remainings of old Hiroshima. It was one of the only things the bomb didn´t destroy 61 years ago. A very powerful experience. After visiting the Dome, we went to the museum nearby, dedicated to the tragedy the bomb caused. It was very interesting and sad to read and actually see the effects of the bomb. Many artifacts where preserved - burned clothes, personal belongings and parts of buildings and structures - all damaged, burned or melted by the extreme heat the bomb caused.
A long driving ahead of us - 1200 kilometers to Tokyo. We drove all day and night. A bit bored of the other just sleeping, Micke and Ernie started a party and having a lot of fun with our drivers and Momo (poor Momo - we kept her awake all night!). About 100 kilometers from Tokyo we stopped near the mountain of Fuji. Sadly there where rain and clouds so we didn´t see any of it. We went to sleep in a big room full of sleeping chairs.

November 7

Finally back in Tokyo!!! In the evning we were going to play at Loft - a quite famous and big club. The final party. Moto, the nice guy, meet up with us in Tokyo with a complete Fender bridge as a present for Ernie! Moto even fixed Ernie's bass; mounting the new parts, changed strings, adjusted and tuneing the bass and polished it so shiny! Thank you Moto! For the nights show there where six bands on two scenes. Dadde was extra excited about the fact that two of his favorite bands, Paintbox and Forward were on the bill, and we all discovered great bands like Laughin Nose, Bomb Factory and Slowmotions this evening. Great bands and shows! Crispy Nuts were on fire this night! The place was sold out and about 700 people joined the party. Great place and a great show, even though we where a bit tired. Micke and Bonni surprised Dadde and Ernie and all the others by simultaneously stagediving during "Precis som far"!! They never did that before so it was quite unexpected! After the gig it was a big party and we had so much fun, singing and talking. We where partying until the sun came up and had to say goodbye for many of our friends. A sad ending to an otherwise really fun night! After two hours of sleep, we where picked up by Momo, Kentaro and Hiro to get us to the airport. At the airport we had some breakfast, a bit of last minute shopping and then...the sad goodbye. We all cried, hugging and cried again. We would really wanted to stay! More gigs! More talking to our friends! More party! But we had to leave.

After a two and a half hour middle landing in London we finally got on the plane to Stockholm. We left Tokyo at 7 in the morning november 7 and reached Stockholm half past 12 the morning november 8. Very tired we went to sleep with our minds still in Japan! See you again guys! We can't wait!
